Anne Griffith McColl, who first hired David, remembers him as “the nicest and kindest of staff,” and also someone who was easily imposed because he was so agreeable. She remembers him as funny and a great companion.
Neither she, nor Ruth Tracy, remember him as a particularly natty dresser, nor had they ever since him in a Tux, but they do agree that he looks good in one. Ruth also confirms that David’s favourite pub in town was the Pilot House where, according to his obit, “an all-out piss up will be held” at a later date.
