Nelly Griffioen, who died on January 15, 2018, was for 23 years the Business Manager for the Student Association of St. Lawrence College. After retiring from this position, she managed her own business interests, travelled, and spent many years pursuing her passion for art with a group of painters in the QECVI Adult Art Group.
Tom joined the college in 1969 after a career in Algoma Steel and Chrysler Canada. He was a man of principle and integrity, yet also easy going and tolerant of the views and activities of others. He seemed always to be patient and good-humoured and he was highly regarded by both students and staff. He left us just before Christmas.
His many fine qualities were greatly appreciated by Brad Hill, who offers his thoughts below.
