Here is the mystery photo #1. Let's hear from you.
This is a new feature that I hope will run for a number of weeks. The plan is to provide a photo of someone who worked at the College. You are asked to post a comment, identifying this person. Better still, please post some recollections of the person, some personal memories that you have, some stories about this individual and her time at SLC.

C'mon folks, I can't believe that we didn't get one response concerning mystery photo #1. Does no one remember Vera Black, who joined the College back in 1968 and developed the new Medical Secretarial Program? She also instituted one of the first work placement programs for SLC students. Perhaps with this reminder, someone will post a comment/reminiscence about Vera?

Vera was indefatigable...and in/near her nineties had a house built to her specifications in Brockville. she was a long term member of Chalmers United Church (Kingston), and after her move, a carload of her friends drove to have lunch with Vera in her Brockville home. While the lunch was supposed to be a pot luck (and was), Vera herself prepared a feast for her guests Vera's home was beautifully laid out.for a senior with mobility issues - who also cooked and entertained. Very modern, intelligently designed....
