Peacefully in the morning of September 15, 2021 at Fairmount Home, Mom, 90 passed on to the next stage of her life while holding my hand. There to greet her is her husband, Brenton (1971), son Peter (2007), daughter Catherine (Neumayer/Tatton (2013) and her mom and dad, Clifton and Catherine Nickerson of Barrington Passage Nova Scotia, along with her sister Sandra. She is survived by her daughter Joanne McDonnell (Jim) of Battersea, 5 grandchildren, Joe (Tanya) Neumayer, Amanda (Colin) Neumayer, Leanne Neumayer, Jeremy (Heather) McDonnell all of Ottawa and Sarah (Ian) Neumayer of Hinton Alberta, along with 5 great-grandchildren Nora, Sophia, Mason, Morgan and Hayden.
She leaves behind her sisters Joyce (late Dave) Ryan of Mississauga and Karen (Graham) Townsend of Bridgewater, NS and their families. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. I promised mom one more trip to NS, so her ashes will be taken to Nova Scotia in the future so she can be reunited with my dad, who has waited 50 years for her to join him.
Thank you does not seem enough to the staff and caregivers at Fairmount Home. Your kindness and love were given to her every day, and for that you have the family's heartfelt thank you. Nothing brought a smile to her face faster than animals, therefore in lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation to the Kingston Humane Society it would be appreciated by the family.
