A group of retired Cornwall faculty (most from the Business Department) have been meeting for 19 years and donating funds in support of a student bursary. That money now amounts to $55,000, the return on which provides two annual bursaries of $1,000.
The most recent gathering (hosted by David and Sandy Enns) was on October 12 and was highlighted by the 50th anniversary cake shown in the accompanying photograph. The college could have used something this creative to distinguish the anniversary events it sponsored back in June-July.
Those in attendance this year included Dick Aubrey, Tom and Helen Butkovich, Eugene and Sue Cardinal, Gerry Dobbyn, Dave and Sandy Enns, Pat Finucan, Michel and Diane Pilon, Norm Hall, and Ken Wingert. A special feature was using FaceTime to connect with Cy Page (and his wife Rita) out in Calgary. Others who were not able to attend this time but support the student bursaries with donations include John Limeburner, Bert and Joan Martin, Sandy McCallum, Heather Robertson, Rosalind and P. J. Robertson and Louis Tremblay.
