Jim was a teaching colleague at St. Lawrence College when I taught there from 1970-1980.
I remember him as a jovial fellow, who enjoyed teaching, riding his motorcycle to work, and life.
He was always a fashionable dresser and earned his nickname: Dude.
My condolences to all of Jim's family. John Johnston

Frances & family, it was with great sadness that I read of Jim's passing in the Freeholder this morning. I have such fond memories of working with Jim in the Applied Arts Department of St. Lawrence. His kindness to a new member of the faculty certainly helped me feel truly part of the team! His wonderful sense of humour, calm manner of dealing with issues and entertaining stories made his office the place to be for the morning coffee before classes! He was a wonderful teacher- one with whom I am proud to have worked! Please accept our sincere condolences. Lois & Peter Scammell
