The latest version of the evolving Book of Memories being prepared as part of next year’s 50th anniversary celebrations of St. Lawrence and the community college system, is now posted at https://www.dropbox.com/s/ydmyp2hacaqvbir/Book%20of%20Memories%20Sept%202016%20Ed.pdf?dl=0.
Please take a look; I’m sure you find stories about colleagues and events that will bring back memories. I hope you will take an especially close look at any stories about people and events familiar to you – to make sure that I have described things accurately. If you feel that a story needs modifying or expanding, feel free to send me your suggestions (to [email protected]).

Beyond that, I urge you to rack the old brain cells and send me some of your recollections of memorable characters and events from the first fifty years of SLC. Photos would also be welcome (as long as you include names to go with the pictures). The sad state of the Archives at SLC is reflected, in part, in boxes full of photos without any identifying information on most of them.
I need your contributions as soon as possible and no later than November 2016, as I would like to have the Book of Memories completed and ready for distribution by the Spring of 2017.
Please help me to make this tribute to our colleagues and SLC as complete as possible. It is our way of providing a record of those who built the college and of the adventures they had along the way. If we don’t tell our story (while we can still remember), you can be certain that no one else will. Please take the time to share in this project.
