The annual conference of CURAC (the Colleges and Universities Retirees Associations of Canada) will be held at Carleton University in Ottawa, from May 24-26, 2017. It will be hosted by the Carleton University Retirees Association and folks are being encouraged to come to Ottawa next year for Canada’s 150th anniversary and for the 75th anniversary of Carleton University. (The notice from CURAC fails to mention that next year is also the 50th anniversary of the Ontario community colleges but we must try to overlook this regrettable oversight in the spirit of post-secondary camaraderie).
The conference will feature a reception on May 24 and a banquet on May 25. There will be round table sessions on best practices for member associations, and plenary sessions on the Economy and You, Health, and Higher Education. If interested, you can register now at http://forms.carleton.ca/conferences/curac17/. If you have questions or comments direct them to Bob Morrison or David Holmes, Co-Chairs of CURAC 2017 at [email protected] or [email protected]
